Faith Centre Student Maryam Kalam from London has received Ijazah on Quran memorisation

The Faith Centre is proud to announce that one of our students, Maryam Kalam from London, has been awarded an Ijazah in Qur’an memorisation.

This is a remarkable achievement and a beautiful milestone in Maryam’s Qur’an learning journey. Her Ijazah was granted in Riwayah Hafs ‘an ‘Asim through the path of Ash-Shatibiyyah, a recognised and respected chain of Qur’an transmission.

Maryam Kalam — received this Ijazah from Shaykh Sami ibn Ibrahim ibn Abdulghal Abu Abda. The Ijazah also records a blessed chain of Qur’an transmission through respected scholars, including Shaykh Mahmoud ibn Hashim ibn Mahmoud ibn Abdulrahman Eissa, Shaykh Al-Fadili ibn Ali ibn Abi Laylah Al-Desouqi, and Shaykh Abdullah ibn Abdulazim Al-Desouqi.

Receiving an Ijazah is a special honour in the study of the Qur’an. It means the student has memorised with care, accuracy, Tajweed, and dedication under qualified supervision, connecting their recitation to a preserved chain of Qur’an teachers.

Maryam’s achievement is a proud moment for her family, her teachers, and the wider Faith Centre community. It reflects years of effort, consistency, patience, and love for the Book of Allah.
